One of my favorite little families!! (2 sessions) 

Haley has been one of my best friends for, oh boy like 5/6 years now? I met Haley when she was a junior in high school, she ran around with my husband’s gang of friends. Somehow after many nights of being young we became very close. Since high school Haley has joined the Marine Corp, found an amazing man and had two very precious little boys. 

It’s been quite the journey watching her go through all the stages from crazy high school teenager to a new mommy, but if anyone can pull it off its Haley!

The day I found out that my girl was preggers was a day to remember!! Although emotions were running wild there was a moment where we just sat quietly and smiled. Her whole world was about to change for the better and I can’t imagine a better couple to become parents! Bo is such an amazing guy, I’m still in shock how much we all like him! Usually there is a catch but you did good Haley! He’s a keeper!!

Months flew by and next thing we know our Haley was rushed to the hospital, she was only 32 weeks pregnant. We all worried and stood by our phones, next thing we know BAM!
May 9th 2014 

Garth and Brantley were welcomed into this world! 

As scary as it all was, Bo and Haley remained calm. They did what they could to distract each other from the hospital rush and suffering for many weeks waiting on the news of their beautiful baby boys to come home! 

Finally! After weeks in the NICU, Baby Garth was released! I watched many people on Facebook cheer and pray for this moment but their happy little family wasn't complete quite yet. Few days go by, and they were reunited with Baby Brantley! (I literally jumped up and down when I heard the news, judge me! Ha ha)

 

Throwing out some mad props to Bo, as we all know Haley is quite the handful. Bo has been by her side since day one, he definitely balances her out!! I’m so happy that the boys have such a strong and loving daddy. They deserve the best and that’s what they got!

As for my beautiful new mommy, she has snapped into her new lifestyle very quickly. It’s amazing how much you can love someone you just met, I'm surprised Haley’s heart hasn't exploded for how much love she has for her boys.

A huge support system always helps!! Haley and Bo’s families and friends have been amazing. With a new baby it’s a lot of work, but with twins that’s a whole other story! I’m so happy that those boys (and the new parents) have such a loving family that will drop anything to help them right away. So congrats to the new Grandma’s, Grandpa’s, Aunts and Uncles! I think we all know exactly how blessed we are to have these cute new babies in the family!

One BIG congrats to Bo and Haley, for getting the family they have always wanted. Hopefully they don’t grow up as fast as everyone says they will! Love you guys so much!! Can’t wait to take pictures of preschool graduations and prom nights!

Cheyann & Justin {Prom Night & Woodsy Adventure}

Meet Cheyann and Justin!

I’ve had the pleasure of knowing Cheyann for many years now! Without Cheyann or her family I wouldn’t have been able to practice so much with photography. Throughout the years I’ve seen Cheyann grow up so much! (It kind of breaks my heart!) However there is a happy ending in this story and his name is Justin! 

Thank goodness for friends of friends, because without them, Justin and Cheyann would have never met! These two literally complete each other. They are so goofy and loving towards each other, it’ll make your heart melt.

We had two sessions that are featured on this blog because I couldn't just pick one to show off! One featuring our woodsy adventure and the second, Prom Night! 

Young love is often looked down upon in our society, but they are looking up for Cheyann and Justin. Not only do they both fully participate in baseball and softball but they are smart! No doubt in my mind that they aren’t going places! Justin just graduated this year and shortly so will Cheyann. They are on fire! 

The couple’s favorite photo(s) from the sessions are one of my favorites too! It describes the fun love between them and the beautiful relationship that they have made. (Does she not look AMAZING in that dress!?) I’m in love with these sessions because it really does show who they are and how much love is in their hearts! 

I am so happy I got to be a part in their lives and capture their moments! Watching them as time goes on their love just keeps growing. I hope there are many more exciting moments to come!! 

Matt & Kelly {La Jolla,CA}

Matt & Kelly

Everyone meet, Matt and Kelly. They met while rock climbing in Arizona. Kelly rock climbs competitively and Matt happened to be there goofing around with his friends. The bold move of handing Kelly a post-it note with his number on it changed their lives forever.

Matt is currently on his second deployment, and Kelly is rocking it on her summer internship at Banner Hospital.

On December 23, 2014 they will be celebrating their Four year anniversary!!

As many know, being in a relationship with a military man is never easy. You spend months on months apart, rare communication in the field or deployed, and coming from the one who is waiting every time, it’s a long, irritating, emotional roller coaster. I can proudly say that Kelly has proven to stand strong through the long gaps apart, it’s not that easy folks. Most girls 20 years old think if their boyfriend is 20 miles away it’s the end of the world, try 8,000 miles away and usually bits and pieces of communication throughout those long months apart. I give mad props to those that have held their head up high and waited for the best moment ever. The moment their love finally hugs them and kisses them, and tells them they love them.

Not to totally discredit Matt, he has done an amazing job with the distance!! He makes the effort to constantly show his love for Kelly. There are not many couples out there that are 100% completely devoted to one another. They bring out the best in each other even with the obstacles thrown at them. I am completely biased but they are an amazing couple! I cannot wait to see what life has in store for them.

If you knew Matt and Kelly then you know this is exactly what their relationship is, all the time!! They goof around and be silly any time someone looks near them they are always up to something! This was not a posed shot either! And to share the couples (and my own) personal favorite! We were walking down La Jolla beach to our next spot and I turned around and this is what I found. 

As many men dread the day their significant other says “We are getting Pictures taken!” I am so thrilled Matt powered through it! Granted it did only take an hour, and about 55 minutes of that session was just goofing around, most men hate photo sessions! Thumbs Up to matt in the “You’re lucky I love you” Award! (Yes he repeated it all day) haha Cheers to being a good sport, and an even more amazing boyfriend to my girl Kelly. You two are going places! Best of luck overseas and hurry up and come home safely!  The longer you take, the more photo sessions we are going to sign you up for! Ha Just kidding. |
